Beverly Hills Mayor Craig Corman wants to take his neighbors to a Dodgers game by train.

Corman has launched "Metro with the Mayor," a series of group rides on the Metro D Line. The program, listed among his top mayoral priorities, is meant to show residents how the city's new subway station connects them to destinations across Los Angeles.

The first outing, called "Beverly Hills Dodger Day," will depart from the Wilshire/La Cienega Station and travel to Union Station, where riders can transfer to the Dodger Express bus to Dodger Stadium. The city has not announced a specific date for the ride.

How to take part

Participants must purchase their own Dodger tickets in advance. The city says spots are limited but has not specified capacity. Each rider also needs a Metro TAP card for the trip from Wilshire/La Cienega to Union Station and the Dodger Express bus. TAP cards can be purchased through the city's Metro with the Mayor page at beverlyhills.org/1815.

The Metro and Dodger Express portions are optional, according to the city's page, meaning residents who prefer to drive can meet the group at the stadium.

Context

The Wilshire/La Cienega station opened Thursday, May 8, giving Beverly Hills its first subway stop and a 22-minute connection to downtown Los Angeles. Corman was among the first to ride, disembarking from the inaugural train alongside then-Councilmember Sharona Nazarian during opening day festivities. The city has staffed a temporary Public Safety Center at the station with Community Service Officers during operating hours and installed security cameras linked to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

A second Beverly Hills station is planned to open on Beverly Drive in 2027, extending the D Line toward Century City and Westwood.

What's next

Beyond Dodger Day, the city says future outings will explore Southeast Beverly Hills, the historic Wilshire Corridor, and other regional destinations. No dates have been announced for any of the rides. Registration details and updates will be posted at beverlyhills.org/1815.
