The Beverly Wilshire earned Two Michelin Keys in the 2026 hotel guide, placing the Rodeo Drive landmark among the world's most exceptional properties as it approaches its 100th anniversary in 2028.

Michelin inspectors announced the global selections on Friday, Sept. 18. They recognized the Beverly Wilshire under the category of Historic Houses, Inns & Deeply Storied Hotels, citing its "story and pedigree, felt in the architecture, design and personality of every aspect of the property," according to a Four Seasons press release.

The Keys program, now in its third year, is the hotel equivalent of the Michelin Star for restaurants. A Two-Key rating signals what Michelin calls "an exceptional stay." Only 657 hotels worldwide hold that tier, out of 2,832 total Key properties across 79 destinations.

Michelin inspectors also described the Beverly Wilshire as "a popular Hollywood film backdrop and Rodeo Drive institution since 1928," noting its highly regarded spa and Italian-style pool, according to the Michelin Guide's U.S. selections.

Reed Kandalaft, regional vice president and general manager of the Beverly Wilshire, called the recognition an honor built on decades of work.

The hotel opened in 1928 at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Rodeo Drive. It has 395 rooms, a Forbes Five-Star spa, a Mediterranean-style pool and CUT by Wolfgang Puck, which already holds a Michelin restaurant recommendation. THE Blvd Restaurant is the property's all-day dining spot.

Across the United States, 65 hotels received new Key additions or upgrades in the 2026 selection, bringing the national total to 359 Key properties. Globally, inspectors added nearly 470 newly distinguished hotels this year.

Inspectors evaluate hotels anonymously against five criteria: architecture and interior design, service quality and consistency, personality and character, value for the price and contribution to the surrounding neighborhood.

The Beverly Wilshire's centennial arrives in 2028. No specific anniversary programming has been announced.
