Cedars-Sinai's annual Sunset Soirée raised more than $3.1 million on Sunday, Oct. 11, drawing over 750 guests to the Warner Bros. Studios lot in Burbank.

Beverly Hills steakhouse Steak 48, at the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Roxbury Drive, served as a signature sponsor and hosted a pop-up dining experience at the gala.

The funds support the Board of Governors Innovation to Impact campaign, a $60 million initiative advancing early-stage research in children's health, cancer, neurosciences, autoimmune and metabolic diseases, and aging. Single-cell technology, which lets investigators study diseased cells one at a time to trace root causes of complex conditions, is central to the effort, according to Cedars-Sinai.

The evening's Hollywood Leadership Award went to the team behind Emmy-winning medical drama "The Pitt." Star and executive producer Noah Wyle, executive producer and director John Wells, and creator and showrunner R. Scott Gemmill accepted the honor. Actress Katherine LaNasa, who also stars in the series, presented the award.

"As an Angeleno, I've got a lot of ties to Cedars-Sinai, my first child was born there," Wyle said on the red carpet. "A lot of our background nurses and experts come from the Cedars staff, so we owe them a debt of gratitude …"

The gala took place on the same sound stage where "The Pitt" is filmed. The series won the 2026 Emmy for outstanding drama, and Wyle won outstanding lead actor, the Beverly Press reported. It returns for a third season on HBO Max in January 2027.

Philanthropists Jaime and Andrew Schwartzberg received the Philanthropic Leadership Award. Jaime Schwartzberg told the audience the couple's connection to Cedars-Sinai began when their youngest daughter, Kate, was hospitalized with serious medical complications and placed in an induced coma. She credited the hospital's doctors and nurses with caring for Kate and the family during that time.

Event co-chairs were Casey Bloys, Board of Governors chair and chief creative officer of Skydance Direct to Consumer, and Richard Weitz, co-chair of the WME Group. Additional sponsors included Warner Bros. Discovery, Warner Bros. Television, HBO Max, City National Bank, Douglas Emmett, the Smidt Foundation, and Adi and Jerry Greenberg.

A live auction offered a luxury vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico, tickets to the global premiere of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" and a chance to fly aboard the Los Angeles Rams' team charter for an away game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Musician Andy Grammer closed the night with a performance that included "Love Showed Up" from his upcoming sixth album, "Big Stupid Heart," set for release Friday, Oct. 16 via S-Curve Records/Hollywood Records.

Peter L. Slavin, president and CEO of Cedars-Sinai, said the Board of Governors' work empowers investigators to pursue bold ideas and translate breakthroughs into patient care. The Board of Governors has served as Cedars-Sinai's primary fundraising group since 1971, according to Broadway World.
