Chef Helene An's Crustacean Beverly Hills will serve its last dinner at 468 N. Bedford Drive on Monday, July 27, closing one of the Golden Triangle's most established restaurants after nearly three decades in the neighborhood.

The An family announced the farewell on the restaurant's Instagram page on Wednesday, July 23, calling it a "Bon Voyage, Bedford" rather than a permanent goodbye. The family said the Crustacean brand will continue through pop-ups and other ventures beyond the Bedford Drive address.

Elizabeth An, Helene's daughter and a spokesperson for the House of AN hospitality group, told Fox 11 Los Angeles on July 23 that the building owner's new plans for the property forced the closure. "We thought at the very least we would have a couple months for the transition. Thank goodness we have a wonderful restaurant in Santa Monica, Tieto, and so we're going to do a Crustacean pop-up from now until the end of the year," she said.

The family has requested a short-term lease extension through Wednesday, September 30, which was under review as of July 23, according to Canyon News. If that extension is denied, Monday's dinner will be the last at the Bedford Drive address.

Crustacean opened on Bedford Drive in the mid-1990s, part of the House of AN group that traces its roots to the family's first restaurant in San Francisco in 1971. The Beverly Hills location became known for Helene An's garlic noodles, garlic-roasted Dungeness crab, and pho, drawing regulars from across the Westside along with celebrity diners.

In its Instagram farewell, the An family invited guests to visit the restaurant through the final service on Monday, July 27, to "share a meal, a hug, a memory, and a farewell." The family wrote that the restaurant had hosted "thirty years of birthdays and anniversaries, of first dates that became marriages."

The Crustacean pop-up at Tieto in Santa Monica is planned through the end of 2026, giving Beverly Hills regulars a nearby option while the family weighs its next permanent location.
