Harvard-Westlake's football team beat Birmingham Community Charter High School 21-7 on Sept. 26, pushing the Wolverines to 5-0 for the first time since the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

The milestone win came on the road, as The Harvard-Westlake Chronicle first reported. Two days short of a year earlier, on Sept. 27, 2025, Birmingham had routed Harvard-Westlake 44-8 on homecoming at Ted Slavin Field. This time the Wolverines flipped the script.

Birmingham picked up where it left off from that blowout, jumping to a 7-0 lead with 9:56 left in the first quarter. Running back Jordan Doi answered with just over two minutes remaining in the period, rushing through the left side for a touchdown. Kicker Kasra Maghami converted the extra point to tie the game at seven.

Wide receiver Solomon Moore then hauled in a 10-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Aaryan Mehdi Williams before halftime. Maghami's second extra point gave Harvard-Westlake a 14-7 lead at the break.

The third quarter was scoreless.

Doi punched in his second touchdown with 8:41 remaining in the fourth quarter. Maghami added his third extra point of the night, and the Wolverines sealed the 21-7 win.

The 5-0 start is the program's best since 2020, when the season was postponed to spring 2021 and shortened to six games because of the pandemic. The Wolverines had not won their first three games of a season since 2021, The Harvard-Westlake Chronicle reported earlier this fall, making the five-game streak all the more significant.

Doi, who wears No. 8, led the offense with two rushing touchdowns. Moore, No. 14, and Williams connected on the lone passing score. Maghami went 3-for-3 on extra points.

Harvard-Westlake's overall record stands at 5-0 with a 0-0 league mark. Conference play begins when the Wolverines travel to Bishop Mora Salesian on Oct. 6.
