Beverly Hills residents have three Thursday evenings left to catch live music at Beverly Canon Gardens before the city's free Concerts on Canon series wraps for the summer.
The 2026 season finale stretch begins Thursday, August 6, with Altadena-based band Groovis Maximus bringing funk, R&B, and jazz to the 241 N. Canon Drive park. The following week, Thursday, August 13, The Brat Pack takes the stage with an 80s tribute set covering movie soundtracks, TV themes, and pop-culture anthems from the decade. The series closes Thursday, August 20, with The Tokens performing 60s and 70s rock, pop, and doo-wop.
The Tokens are best known for their 1961 No. 1 hit "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," which topped the Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks. The Brooklyn-born group's appearance marks the season finale.
All three concerts run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Admission is free. The grassy park offers ample seating, and attendees can bring blankets, chairs, and picnic meals or grab food from neighboring restaurants.

The series, organized by the Beverly Hills Community Services Department, launched its 2026 season on Thursday, June 4, and has featured acts spanning rock, Motown, Latin, bossa nova, and surf rock across 12 weeks. According to the city's Concerts on Canon page, Southern California musicians interested in performing in the 2027 season can apply beginning Monday, November 30, 2026.
