Stephanie Cohen, Cedars-Sinai's vice president of health system government and industry relations, stepped into the role of Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce board chair on Wednesday, June 24, succeeding Offer Nissenbaum, managing director of the Peninsula Beverly Hills.

Cohen accepted the gavel before a sold-out crowd of more than 600 guests at Beverly Cañon Gardens during the Chamber's annual Summer Garden Party and Board Installation. Mayor Craig Corman, Councilmembers Sharona Nazarian and John Mirisch, and representatives from the offices of Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur, L.A. County Supervisor Lindsey Horvath, and State Senator Ben Allen filled the garden alongside business owners and residents.

"Beverly Hills has incredible momentum," Cohen told the crowd. "We are home to one of the most dynamic business communities built through decades of partnership between the city, this chamber and our business leaders. It's our responsibility to build upon it."

Mayor Corman introduced Cohen by highlighting her health-care advocacy, saying she has championed legislation to expand access to care and increase funding for community health centers.

Chamber President and CEO Todd Johnson, who has led the organization since 2015, recognized Lashelle Ullie, a skin-care business owner, as Ambassador of the Year. Johnson called Ullie "a kind person" who "puts the time into the Chamber" as a single-operator business owner.

Chris Rivelle, CEO of PLANT Construction Co. and the evening's presenting sponsor, is also the board's designated next chair after Cohen. Rivelle cited $24 billion in annual GDP and five million visitors a year for Beverly Hills, telling the audience the Chamber's purpose is "to empower businesses to thrive."

The evening opened with a national anthem performance by Abi Koya, and magician Angus Baskerville roamed the gardens entertaining guests. Food came from Chamber member restaurants including AVRA, The Maybourne Beverly Hills, and Wolfgang Puck Catering. The Beverly Hills Courier set up a magazine-cover photo booth near the entrance.

Twenty-two board members were inducted for the 2026–27 term, including former Mayor Julian Gold M.D., real estate agent Jade Mills, and restaurateur Emanuele Ponzo.
