Friends of Greystone will bring its "Hollywood Revisited, A Musical Revue" back to Greystone Mansion on Sunday, Nov. 22, with tickets listed at $20 per person after the spring edition sold out.
The three-hour evening event, running 6 to 9 p.m. at 905 Loma Vista Drive, showcases original costumes worn by stars in classic Hollywood films, paired with live music from the eras that produced them. Attendees can view the pieces up close, according to the nonprofit's event listing. Friends of Greystone describes the show as a musical revue set to period music, with the costumes displayed alongside the stories behind them.
The April 11 edition of Hollywood Revisited, organized by Susan Rosen according to Patch, was priced at $130 per person. That show sold out. The November listing on greystonemansion.org shows $20 per person; Friends of Greystone has not explained the difference. Residents should check greystonemansion.org for current ticket details before purchasing.
Greystone Mansion, the 55-room Tudor Revival estate designed by architect Gordon Kaufmann and completed in 1928, has been a public park since 1971 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. As we reported Aug. 17, the mansion's restored 1920s theatre recently opened for monthly public tours.
